| Most cemeteries recommend or require vaults or grave liners to be used in ground burial spaces. If you prefer a mausoleum or lawn crypt, then a vault is not necessary. The primary reasons to use a vault is to protect the casket from the weight of the earth above crushing it and causing the gravesite to "sink".
Earthman Funeral Directors and Cemeteries recommends Wilbert Vaults. Wilbert vaults come in a variety of materials and workmanship. You can see some samples to the left.
In the middle-grade vault line is the Copper Triune® with the cover and base reinforced with high-impact ABS Trilon® and copper. The rich beauty of the copper top is accented with special adornments.
Both the cover and base are reinforced with high-impact ABS Trilon® and stainless steel on this vault. The brilliance of the stainless steel cover really stands out under the emblem and accent bar.
Wilbert also offers several single-reinforced vaults and concrete outer burial liners for the more budget-conscience including, the ABS Marbelon® reinforced Venetian® and the Strentex@ reinforced Continental® and Monticello® vaults.
